HackAgents BIU is a 24-hour hackathon where undergrad and graduate students build agent-based systems powered by LLMs. Mentors and judges will be available on-site. Build projects solo or in teams of up to 4.

Suggested directions (open-ended):

You can also pick from the proposed projects provided by mentors, or propose your own. Teams of 3–4 students are recommended.

Registration is open to BIU CS students (2nd year+) and Engineering students (3rd year+), including undergraduate and MSc students. Space is limited.

Who can participate?

CS students from 2nd year and above, and Engineering students from 3rd year and above (undergraduate and MSc).

When and where?

May 14–15, BIU CS Building 503. Podman Desktop AI Lab guidance starts at 10:30 in the Gallery (above ground floor), for one representative from each group, and the 13:00 meetup presentation is in the auditorium.

How should I prepare for Podman?

Use the Podman preparation guide before the AI Lab guidance.

How do I get updates?

Join the WhatsApp updates group for event announcements and logistics.

What should we build?

Any agent-based project using LLMs as a core technology. You can also pick from proposed projects in the project ideas document.

Do I need a team before registering?

No. You can register solo and form a team on-site during the kickoff. Teams of 3–4 students are recommended.

Will food be provided?

Yes! Food and drinks will be available throughout the 24-hour event.
